White Brick Farmhouse Facade

The front of this two-story farmhouse-style home centers on a gabled garage wing clad in ARTO's Standard brick veneer, painted white. The thin brick wraps the gable from the driveway to the roofline, around the front entry and over to the side gate, giving the facade a hand-laid texture that flat stucco or siding cannot. Painting the brick keeps the look light and ties it to the white lap siding above, while the relief of each brick and mortar joint still catches the sun and casts fine shadows. Dark window frames, a black front door and two simple wall lights complete a clean, graphic elevation, with a concrete driveway set in squares and gravel strips leading up to the garage.
