The Story
This West Adams home in Los Angeles pairs light and dark concrete floors. The kitchen, seen through a wide plaster arch, is laid in ARTO's handcrafted Artillo Hexagon in Early Gray with a Vintage finish. The pale, cloudy gray hexagons run under the dark wood island, along white cabinetry and a farmhouse sink, and into a small desk nook, keeping the long room bright and soft. In the sitting room near the stair, a deep brown lantern-shaped tile covers the floor below a raised white fireplace. Its rich, uneven tone and light grout lines frame each shape and give the space a warm, grounded feel.
