Truckee Kitchen and Fireplace

In this Truckee home, ARTO's handcrafted Artillo concrete brick in Early Gray with a Limestone finish runs floor to ceiling on the kitchen's range wall, framing a professional range and a steel hood. The pale gray and white bricks are laid in a running bond, and their softly worn, chalky surface keeps the large wall from feeling flat. Dark wood cabinets, a glass-topped island and plank floors add warmth around it. The same brick wraps a see-through gas fireplace in the living area, where it climbs a tall column up to a reclaimed wood ceiling and sits above a floating steel hearth. Using one brick in both spaces ties the open plan together with a light, rustic texture.
