The Strand Beach House

This beachfront home on The Strand uses ARTO's handcrafted Roman Tile in Early Gray with a Limestone finish inside and out. At the street, the soft gray tile wraps the low columns along the front wall. Out back and up on the roof deck, Roman 6" Hexagon pavers cover the outdoor floors, set in large squares divided by bands of dark beach pebbles in the courtyard. The same Early Gray Limestone tile climbs the side stairs and clads the courtyard and side walls in 18" pieces, with a weathered, stone-like surface that suits the salt air and bright light. Indoors, the living room fireplace is clad floor to ceiling in Pure White ceramic glazed brick, a light, glossy counterpoint to the textured concrete outside.
