The Story
At Serve on 2nd, designed by Kuskin May, a custom Roman pattern of ARTO handcrafted concrete tile covers the floor of a bright dining patio. Squares in sage green and soft slate gray sit on point, framed by cream rectangles that link together into a lattice running the full length of the space. The muted colors pick up the potted greenery and climbing vines, while white block walls, a white-painted pergola, string lights and long upholstered banquettes keep the room light. Up close, each tile shows the gentle color variation and soft edges of hand-poured concrete, giving the geometric layout a relaxed, garden-like character.
