The Story
This new Santa Monica home leans into Spanish Revival details, with handcrafted tile marking its arches and niches. At the front door, Artillo Arabesque Pattern 11A wraps the curved entry vault in warm, mottled concrete tones edged with clay-colored trim, and the same pattern covers the barrel-vaulted ceiling inside the entry. Hand-painted decos fill arched niches in the living room, above the fireplace, and in a sunlit reading alcove. In the bathroom, Artillo Arabesque Pattern 8C in a Winslet blend runs across the floor and up the shower wall beside green subway tile, and the same pattern trims a column at the bar counter. Outside, a walled patio is paved in Artillo 12-inch Hexagon in Tuscan Mustard Vintage, its terracotta tones set against white stucco.
