At this residence, handcrafted Artillo concrete tile in Charcoal ties the primary bathroom to the entry. In the bath, Artillo Arabesque Pattern 2C covers the floor from the double vanity to the soaking tub and walk-in shower. The deep gray tiles show soft tonal shifts and a gentle sheen, a grounded contrast to the white walls, marble shower and brass fixtures. In the entry, the same Charcoal color appears in an Artillo Picket set, laid in a repeating pattern across the hallway floor and wrapped over the edge of the step that leads toward the staircase. Each piece is made by hand, so the color moves slightly from tile to tile and gives the dark floors a worn, lived-in character.
