The Story
This Rancho Santa Fe house uses ARTO's handcrafted concrete tile in Creme Fraiche throughout its working rooms. The kitchen and mud room are floored in Artillo Hexagon with a Vintage finish, a patchwork of cream, apricot, terracotta and soft gray that looks like old reclaimed tile beneath white cabinets, a butcher-block island and open iron shelving. Near the cabinetry and laundry, rectangular Artillo pieces in the same color are laid in herringbone. In the mud room, the hexagons run from a blue Dutch door past a rush-seat bench. Down the hall, a small wine room is crowned with a barrel-vaulted ceiling of Antik brick in Creme Fraiche, its warm, tumbled faces glowing under a wrought-iron chandelier.
