Pasadena Showcase House Laundry Room

This laundry and mudroom at the Pasadena Showcase House pairs ARTO tile with soft blue cabinetry and light oak millwork. The floor is laid in interlocking handcrafted tiles in cream, sand and muted blue-gray, with a worn, sun-faded look that suits a hard-working room. It runs past the washer and dryer, under a cushioned window seat and into a mudroom corner with wall hooks for hats, bags and leashes. Tucked into that corner is a raised dog-washing station lined with glazed square tiles in pale gray-blue, their glossy surface varying slightly from tile to tile. The result is a practical room that still feels calm and collected.
