Oakland Garden Stairs

A long garden stair leads up to this Oakland home, and every step is finished in ARTO's handcrafted Artillo concrete tile in Tuscan Mustard. Bullnose treads give each step a soft, rounded edge, and the same warm color runs across a wide landing at the foot of the stairs, laid in an Octagon and dot pattern. A few small relief deco dots are tucked into the field, adding a quiet detail for anyone who looks down. The tile shifts from golden tan to soft terracotta, with a gently pitted surface that feels like old stone. Set between low walls and full plantings, the stair reads as part of the garden rather than a separate structure.
