Mission Hills Hacienda

This Spanish-style home mixes ARTO's handcrafted concrete and ceramic tile inside and out. The back patio is paved in 12-inch Artillo concrete tile in Cafe Olay, set on the diagonal so its soft salmon and terracotta tones run from the dining area to the stairs and planting beds. In a quiet corner, a built-in bench and square fire pit are faced with 4-inch ceramic hexagons in a blend of glossy greens, teal and deep charcoal, a cool counterpoint to the warm floor. Indoors, the tasting bar sits on 12-inch Artillo in Spanish Cotto, and the glass-walled wine cellar is floored in Artillo Arabesque Pattern 8C in the same color, its star-and-cross shapes showing the cloudy, earthy variation of handmade concrete.
