Lake Forest Bath

This Lake Forest bathroom pairs soft, earthy walls with ARTO's Tierra Madre tile. The floor is laid in a checkerboard of 4x4 tiles, Clara Tierra Madre in Fog alternating with Metolius Tierra Madre in Topaz, giving a woven, gingham-like rhythm of light and dark squares that runs from the scalloped white vanity to the window. In the walk-in shower, 2x8 tile is stacked vertically in a dark, glossy brown, and the slight variation from tile to tile catches the light along the wall. Marble trim frames the shower opening and the vanity backsplash, and the warm brown tones of the tile tie the floor, shower and painted walls together.
