La Canada Arabesque Fireplace

In this La Canada living room, the fireplace wall is clad in ARTO's handcrafted Artillo Arabesque Pattern 2C concrete tile in Natural Gray. The interlocking cross-and-star shape covers the wall from floor to mantel and wraps around the side return, its fine grout lines tracing the pattern in a soft, tone-on-tone way. Around the firebox, a frame of small rectangular tiles in the same gray sets off the opening, and a carved rosette deco sits at each upper corner. A reclaimed wood mantel and light concrete hearth complete the look. The cool, even gray keeps the fireplace calm and light, while the hand-poured tiles show the gentle surface variation that gives concrete tile its warmth.
