At Il Figlio Enoteca in Fishkill, New York, ARTO's handcrafted 3D Buckle ceramic tile in a custom teal glaze lines the back bar and wine walls. The 6x6 tiles carry a raised, interlocking relief, and the glossy glaze pools in the recesses so each piece shifts from pale aqua to deeper green. Set in columns between mirrored shelves of spirits, behind the espresso machine and beneath rows of wine bottles, the tile gives the long bar a sense of depth and rhythm. Leather stools with brass legs, a rust-colored banquette and warm wood trim play against the cool color, and the relief catches the light from the sconces throughout the evening.
