The Story
Grand Gimeno is a Spanish Colonial Revival building with white plaster arches, a tiled roof and timber ceilings, finished throughout in ARTO's handcrafted Artillo concrete tile. In the great room and covered loggia, Artillo 10x10 Octagon in Old California spreads a warm terracotta tone across the floor, set with small square inserts. Lounges, sitting rooms and a kitchenette continue in Artillo Picket 4x8 in the same Old California color, accented with dark dots. The restrooms pair Artillo Arabesque Pattern 2C floors in Magnolia and Hacienda with tall Early Gray 4x12 wall tile, capped by slim San Pedro 1x9 liners in Charcoal and Hacienda. The soft color shifts and gently worn surfaces of the concrete suit the building's historic character.
