The Story
Two bathrooms in this Escondido home share the Arabesque shape in two different materials. The primary bath is floored in ARTO's handcrafted Artillo Arabesque Pattern 13 concrete tile in Rice with a Limestone texture, a soft off-white whose gently pitted surface and scalloped outline give the room a calm, timeworn feel under a freestanding tub, a glass shower and dark wood vanities. In a smaller bath down the hall, the floor changes to Metolius Ridge Arabesque Pattern 8C in Tahitian Pearl, a glazed ceramic in shifting blue-gray tones that pools darker and lighter across each piece. That tile follows a curved wall into the adjoining hallway. Light grout outlines every shape in both rooms, and warm brass fixtures, wood cabinets and pale walls let the tile lead.
