El Segundo Hexagon Entry and Patio

This El Segundo home uses one warm color to tie the front of the house to the back. At the arched front entry, the porch and steps are paved in ARTO's handcrafted 8" Hexagon concrete tile in Cotto Dark, a deep terracotta with rose and brown shifts across each piece. The same hexagon continues in the backyard, where it forms a patio around an outdoor fireplace and a covered porch, finished with a straight-laid border that curves and miters cleanly against the lawn. Exterior stairs at the side of the house are clad in Roman stair treads in the same Cotto Dark, so steps and landings read as one surface. Light grout outlines every shape and lets the natural color variation show.
