Early Gray Newport Brick Facade

This single-story home was refaced in ARTO's Newport Brick in Early Gray. The long, slim bricks are laid in running courses across the front of the house, wrapping the entry porch, the covered patio and the walls behind low concrete planters. Their pale gray tone and soft, slightly uneven faces read almost white in daylight, giving the facade a calm, textured surface that works with the dark wood front door, black window frames and desert landscaping of cactus, agave and snake plants. Up close, each brick shows the small variations in color and edge that come from being handcrafted, so the wall has depth without looking busy. Broad concrete steps lead from the street up to the brick-framed entry.
