Blackland Prairie Patio

Set around a raised lily pond with bronze heron fountains, this backyard patio uses ARTO's handcrafted concrete tile in two colors, Early Gray and Cotto Chocolate, in a Standard texture. The tiles are laid so that light and dark halves form a repeating pattern of arches and circles, a bold graphic floor that still feels at home among river rock, stone coping and garden beds. Paths of the same tile run along the pond and lead toward a seating area by the house, where iron chairs sit beside the brick wall. Water lilies, broad-leaf plants and pink blooms soften the edges, and the cool gray and warm brown tones of the concrete pick up the colors of the stone and brick around them.
