Beverly Towers Senior Center Courtyard

In the courtyard of Beverly Towers Senior Center, a broad shade tree grows out of a raised planter faced with ARTO's handcrafted 6" 3D Compass Star tile in Early Gray. Each concrete tile is cast with deep, faceted rays that fan out from the center, so the planter walls catch light and shadow as the sun moves across the yard. Around the planter, large-format Italian porcelain in Anticato Nero paves the courtyard in long dark gray slabs that run past benches and beds of grasses. Farther along the garden path, circles of Italian porcelain hex mosaic in Nero and Grigio sit in the mulch like stepping stones, the dark and light rounds overlapping as they lead through the planting. The soft gray Compass Star tile and the darker porcelain give the space a calm, grounded feel.
