The Story
Designed by dlb design, this Tulare home runs one continuous floor of Kronos Italian porcelain in Crema from the front door through the living room, dining area and kitchens. The large tiles are laid in a mix of rectangles and squares, which gives the floor the look of a classic cut-stone pattern. Their soft beige-gray color and gently mottled surface read like aged limestone, warm against the leather sofas, wood cabinetry and dark painted cabinets in the second kitchen. Because it is porcelain, the floor holds up to everyday kitchen traffic while keeping a quiet, natural feel. Light from the tall living room windows brings out the subtle variation from tile to tile across the open rooms.
